We were tired of getting lowballed.
Like most collectors, we'd walked into a shop with a binder full of cards and walked out shaking our heads. The offers were always 30–40% under market, "take it or leave it," with no explanation of the working.
So we started keeping records. We tracked TCGplayer comps, eBay sold listings, PSA pop reports. We learned which cards were genuinely scarce and which were just hyped. And we realised: most of the people buying our cards weren't going to flip them tomorrow — they were sitting on them for years. There's no excuse for paying us pennies on the pound.
Gengarns was built on a simple promise: pay fair, work transparent, treat every customer the way we'd want to be treated when we walk through the door.
